The thanks they get....

Purple heart? Buy your own medal. "Korean War veteran Nyles Reed, 75, opened an envelope last week to learn a Purple Heart had been approved for injuries he sustained as a Marine on June 22, 1952.

But there was no medal. Just a certificate and a form stating that the medal was 'out of stock.'"

Wow Panda thanks so much for passing this along, I'm gonna post it.

It is so clear that Chimpy and his minions cannot be shamed. A despicable comment on the state of our nation.

The number of dead American soldiers quoted only pertains to those actually killed outright on the ground in action.

What the Pentagon NEVER reveals are those that die as a result of wounds sustained in battle.

If a soldier dies just after an airplane, carrying him to Germany for treatment, lifts off then he is not counted among the dead.

The actual number of dead military personnel in both the Iraq and Afghanstan theaters was in excess of 20,000 in June 2007.

3072 seems more comforting than 20,000 you will agree, but it is also more misleading.

As for the Purple Heart issue, let's face it ......the number of wounded are outstripping production! Horrific numbers of wounded.
