Senior Republicans Knew About Conditions at Walter Reed
They knew. This is no surprise. I want every veteran, active duty serviceperson, reservist, and national guardsman, to tell me again how, "the republicans support the troops." The GOP support for the military materializes in large DoD and Pentagon budgets for bullets, bombs and private contractors. The troops and the veterans get the shaft every time. Do your homework. Quit depending on Fox News to tell you what you want to hear in regards to republicans and their alleged support for the troops. Read the CQ story here. Democrat Henry A. Waxman of California, who now chairs the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, defended how his predecessor as chairman had handled the problems at Walter Reed.
“It isn’t that Chairman Davis didn’t ask them to account for it,” Waxman said. “I don’t think the problem is in our committee. The problem is in the Department of Defense.”
C'mon, Henry, why are you giving the Republics an out? Do you imagine they'd give you an out? Or are the Dems as culpable? Love your hearings, but this kind of helping hand to THE OPPOSITION is not, to quote our president, acceptable.
Who needs enemies huh? I like Waxie and hope he's just playing "good cop."
