BAGHDAD (AP) - Mortar rounds hit a U.S. Air Force base north of Baghdad on Thursday, destroying one helicopter and damaging nine others, police said.
The attack at Taji, a major Air Force on the northern outskirts of Baghdad, occurred about 2 a.m., the police said.

With the heavily infltrated and compromised Iraqi armed forces that we're "training" interspersed with our troops, I can't help but fear that the denouement of this debacle will be many times worse than that final image of the dramatic chopper rescues off the embassy roof in Saigon.
I hear the "green zone" is becoming very dangerous
