Stick It and Bury the Lead

Since I don't watch TV (except for Olbermann and a little PBS...c'mon, who can resist Antiques Roadshow?) I just heard about this summation done by the James Spader character, Howard Shore on the show Boston Legal. Great little Bill of Rights monologue worth watching.

To be expected, he lost the case.

In the "burying the lead" department:When you're done with Boston Legal, run over to Think Progress and watch Jim Webb have to practically beg our lawmakers to do the right thing in regards to the Lie-berman/KKKyl amendment which would give Chimpy permission to attack Iran.

I wish the commercial media gave this sort of speech fair coverage. Actually, half the Democratic senators voted against the AUMF against Iraq, but we never heard a damn thing about them from the MSM as the beat the drum for an Iraq invasion. I don't have high hopes for this go 'round being much different. Sigh.

Thanks Hope. As a non-TV person myself, I rarely get to see what goes on there, for better or for worse, except via Youtube or something similar. Pity such pith is wasted on those many with such small awareness/conscience.

I haven't watched TV in years. This is a fine piece of writing.

you wrote "To be expected, he lost the case."

That is why I left the USA 3 years ago. I wish I had hope that things will turn around in my lifetime.

Thanks for a great clip.

As always Isis, you're welcome, and I can't wait to visit your "compound" sometime in the future. I trust TV will be limited. LOL.
