Weblog Awards

The "Bloggies" are here and I'm voting. You can vote early and often, well once daily, in each catagory until December 15th. There are 45 catagories this year I have recommedations for 7 of them. The Weblog Awards page is easy to navigate and if nothing else this is a great opportunity to check out blogs you've never read before. Here is my list:

Best Blog: Huffington Post
Best New Blog: Konagod
Best Humor Blog: Jon Swift
Best of the Top 250: Feministe
Best Liberal Blog: Pandagon
Best Media Blog: Raw Story
Best Video Blog: Crooks and Liars

I will have to visit and nominate some I like, even though they're not considered the "big boys" in blogging.

Exactly HCG. Blogging is still relatively new to me and there are many blogs out there to check out. I really believe this is the "New Frontier" and I'm excited to be part of it.

Me, too. I want to nominate one of the lesser known ones. But I'm having a hard time deciding which one. Any suggestions?

Nominations are over, they are in the finals now and voting is until friday evening. I went and looked at the blogs nominated in the numbered catagories. Some good stuff there. Check them out!

Not even a "shout out" for Crooks & Liars at Best Video Blog or Raw Story at Best News Blog? Whassup wid dat? :)

Hiya Hope! Long time no chat.

You should bear in mind that these awards are hosted by freakishly reich-wing sites. The deck is stacked from the get-go which is why you won't see them promoted on Kos or C&L even though they were nominated.

Get in touch Swim... Wanted to catch up with you in the next few days.

Not sure why it posted under "Nathan" instead of Nate

Nobody tells me ANYTHING...Thanks for the info Naters LTNS. Regardless of the hosting of the awards it was a great opportunity to see a lot of other blogs I probably wouldn't have found otherwise. I did vote for "Raw Story" and "Crooks and Liars" but didn't want my recommends to be overwhelming.
