My sincerest apologies for being away so suddenly and unexplainedly. I find myself engaged in the politics of living full force as the one year anniversary of the break-up of my relationship shows up on my doorstep. It has been a whirlwind these last few weeks, with work, no work, travel, dating , no dating, sex, no sex, you get the idea. Music seems to be, yet again, my only refuge from the doldrums, the pensive, exhausting, roundabout I've been on lately. Sia continues to be my muse and her song styling lulls me into a false sense of security or sumthin'. Let her sing to you. [Production Note: Beck on guitar and Giovanni Ribisi does back-up vocals...who knew??]
And by the way, I'm extremely disappointed with the choice of Ken Salazar for Interior.

Was wondering where you'd gotten to, Hope. Glad to see you were just having too much fun to write.
So, I'm sure you'll be explaining your disappointment with my senator being picked as Secretary of the Interior...lol
So...Salazar is yet another cowboy guy with the mining, energy, agriculture industries in his pocket. His policies for Colorado while not terrible, force bad policy decisions for other states. He's far too conservative to run a Dept. of the Interior which lied, cheated and gutted environmental policies over the last 8 years. Read the linky in the post for further info.
As you approach the one-year anniversary of that sad event, I would be interested in hearing about your lessons learned.
I'm not one of those who feels we need to endure pain in order to learn, but I am guessing such a blow from left field gave you much to consider.
