MY LIVING WILL
Last night, my friend and I were sitting
in the living room and I said to her,
“I never want to live in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine and fluids from a bottle. If that ever happens, just pull the plug.”
She got up, unplugged the TV, and threw out my wine.
She’s such a bitch…..

LMFAO!
Haha, too true.
LOL. Welcome back.
I don't know, Hope. I think it might be nice to be a broccoli...
Hope, I'm not sure I understand who said this. Were you quoting someone who comments on your blog or were you talking about a conversation you had with someone who posts here? I don't want to address something to the wrong person but I'm not sure who said it. :(
I'm a little sad whenever I hear people saying that they would never want to live a certain way when they don't really know what that state would be like. It's a tough issue because I believe that people should be able to decide when they will and won't receive treatment/care but I do wish that more people were willing to consider the idea that they may be able to enjoy life with the use of assistive devices.
Bint my Darling. It was a joke conveyed by a friend. It's a commentary on how silly American culture has become--dependent on TV and alcohol to get us through life.
I believe all people have the RIGHT to choose their own way with their own body and life.
I have had a tragedy recently (before Xmas, check archives) that continues still and this comment was mostly to cheer me up.
Thanks for letting me know of your confusion.
My heart aches for you, Hope. You're in my prayers.
