"If I were a dictator, which I always aspire to be..."Direct quote from John McCain's meeting yesterday with the editorial board of The Des Moines Register. Finally a little truth creeps onto the "Straight Talk Express." Watch the entire interview or short segments on specific topics, but do listen to Gramppy utter the same famous words as Junior. The clip is: Full Editorial Board, dictator statement begins at 56:50. I would like to point out, as John McCain so often does, that he had long military career. The military is not a democracy. No wonder he wants to be a dictator.

The military is not a democracy, which is why it runs so smoothly. Democracy has a tendency to drag ass, the military gets shit done. This is why military actions and battle plans should not be run through congress, or the voters.
ReplyDeletebut that's a rant that had nothing to do with this post-just something that's been running through my head this entire election. blah!
Yes Democracy can be a drag. We military folk know the military is anything but democratic. We choose to serve, give up several of our constitutionally guaranteed rights and follow a rigid chain of command to protect and the defend the very document that is the lifeblood of our Democracy.
ReplyDeleteThat we surrender to protect that democratic way of life, demonstrates how very serious it's defense must be taken. Someone needs to tell Commander McCain, he's not in the military anymore.
