Days Later...
10 to be exact. Ten long, pain-filled days of packing, cleaning and driving across country to our new Deep South locale. Thank you all for your patience and support. Tomorrow, I begin blogging anew.
As awful and overwhelming at 10 days of packing seems, I've found that unpacking sometimes has this stealth factor, where you discover, two years after the move, that ONE BOX that you wasted days trying to find.
What lovely people you all are...the unpacking IS overwhelming but a bit like Christmas, and in the words of Forrest Gump's mama, likwe a box of chocolates--you never know what your gonna get.
After dealing with moves many times, when I left the USA I whittled it down to clothes, photos, documents, camera, trombone, a fraction of my library, CDs and DVDs. Still too much stuff.
Have fun settling in. I hope you enjoy your new surrounds.
Welcome back - missed your voice.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Same here.
ReplyDeleteGlad to know you're ok. For some reason I thought you were going back to SanFran, maybe wishful thinking. But welcome to your new home!
ReplyDeleteWelcome home, Hopey -- and just in time for okra, tomato, and peach season! Y'all enjoy.
ReplyDeleteHope - Did you feel a tap on your shoulder?
ReplyDelete'Cause you just got tagged...

Good luck, I will check back later.
Busted.
